I’ve been a few times and love having local bread but it’s limited qualities and a little inconsistent. I’ve gone a few times and it’s closed. Today it says open until 3 and the OPEN sign in the window is on yet it’s locked up and dark at 2:30pm. If you’re going to close early, be kind to those that are trying to support your limited hours and leave a sign in the window that you are closed early, or update your store hours on line. Just seems like an overall lack of care good business practices.
I highly recommend this wonderful bakery. From the minute I walked into the bakery I was greeted with a smile and hello. I was looking for a Black Forest cake. A Black Forest cake is a rich and indulgent cake that consists of layers of chocolate sponge cake, cream, and cherries. It is garnished with chocolate shavings and more cherries on top. This is my husband favorite cake. The young lady asked to take a seat in the parlor and the owner Bar will be right with us. Bar listened to what I wanted for my husband surprise birthday party and also listened and addressed all my concerns. She introduced us to Maya the incredible cake baker, she also recommended the size of cake for the number of guests and we arranged for a cake tasting. I was completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service. At the cake tasting; I was simply amazed, the black forest cake – The appearance and quality was outstanding, exceeding my expectation in every bite. Then Maya suggested a couple of yummy additions to the cake. When the cake was delivered it looked stunning. It not only looked amazing, the flavor of the cake was absolutely delicious, not too sugary, it was just right. When my husband took his first bite, he said WOW, simply the best with a big smile, and our family and friends let us know how much they loved the cake! it truly exceeded our expectations. I can honestly say that the artistry of Maya the baker, was tasted in every bite. This whole experience was wonderful: A delicious custom cake made by an artist with bakery that has incredible customer service skills. I was completely impressed with their Professionalism, Quality of the Black Forest Cake and Customer Service. Thank you to Bar (owner) and Maya (Baker) and the team at The Bakery Bar.
Croissants were okay, they we fresh just nothing to rave about. We prefer our normal bakery we go to but tried something new. Only accepts cards for payment.
My fave spot in Fonthill, I make sure to stop in everytime I'm in the area! The best choclate mouse & baked goods. The ladies are absolutely fabulous & I look forward to seeing them! This is a must try place?
Maybe it just the times I have gone but there is always very little there for baked goods so in truth never gotten anything cause they have not had what I was looking for. However the staff has always been lovely, it a nice place and what they have had on display looks nice.
Bar’s Brioche Buns can start a war or help with a peace treaty. They are to die for. A delightful experience and amazing treats. We picked one focaccia bread and regretted not picking another one.
What amazing little spot we came across. Downtown Fort Erie, historical area. The baked goods are so delicious and I love a family run business. Worth the trip for sure.
